CLIFFORD JOHN MILLS My Uncle Reg dist for birth South Stoneham came to Wales to live c1913 family went to Blaenavon first where Cliff enlisted and then while he was at war family came to Neath. CLIFFORD JOHN MILLS died serving his country in the 1914 war. Medals recieved 1914 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal. Name listed on the Ploedsteert Memorial in Belgium. On Panel 10. Born 7 Sep 1894 died 12 April 1918. His name is also on the memorial in Trevethin Church in Pontypool. He was in  a battle where 600 were sent in to fight and only 150 survived. Cliff lost his boots and wore another soldiers he had a fortnight in Goal for this .My Grandmother had to send him a pair !! Family rembered him as a fun loving boy Thanks Cliff Althea
